What we Do

A brief insight into Our Operations

With a robust fleet of 25 route vans and 7 sub-distributors across the country, we can serve all types of relevant outlets across the country.

Each salesperson is equipped with our Sales Force Automation (SFA) application, which enables us to track real-time data from over 7,500 outlets nationwide. They move in the field with a handheld to take orders and a mobile printer to generate instant invoices.

 

A strong ERP system has been put in place to track and monitor data to increase our sales. We also use Power BI to track each and every salesman and to analyze data such as: how many customers were billed, what is the frequency of visitation per outlet, what Sku’s have been sold and many other analyses.

Sales & Marketing

Our sales force of 22 includes account managers, sales executives, and merchandisers.

The team ensures brand visibility and the strategic placement of items on hypermarket and supermarket shelves countrywide, and in that way, drives sales to meet targets.

Door-to-door Sales Team

Currently we have 5 Route Vans that cover 1,880 customers monthly, they carry stock in their vans and following their weekly route plan, they sell to the small retail shops around Kampala.

 

Retail Display & Merchandising

With support from our principals, we have a strong team of 11 merchandisers who follow a route plan. They ensure that our brands are perfectly visible on the shelves, placement is done next to competition brands, and they engage with customers to ensure growth in sales.

 

Hyper/Supermarket Sales Team

With a team of 3 highly experienced executives, we are covering over 250+ supermarkets around Kampala. These are credit customers who need special attention as they tend to stock all our SKU’s and contribute highly to our monthly sales.

 

Wholesale Business

We sell to over 300+ wholesalers in Kampala and the number are growing significantly monthly. A strong team has been put in place to manage bulky orders and ensure our wholesale business is growing in terms of coverage and the number of Sku’s being bought.

Upcountry Business

We have appointed Sub-distributors in major cities around the country. They represent us in those cities and their task is to ensure our goods are available in all major outlets around the city.

Our fundamental principles are to be followed: Maximum coverage of customers, making sure all SKUs are available in all outlets, Visibility and positioning of our brands are perfectly in place and checking of Expires and promotional activities are done fortnightly.

HORECA (Hotel, Restaurant, Catering)

A team has also been put in place to ensure sales for our food category brands such as spices, sauces, and others.

A data of over 122+ restaurants and hotels buy from us monthly. A special logistic team of 6 motorbikes has also been provided to ensure 30 minutes’ delivery. The HORECA business is very fragile as customers need instant delivery.

Logistics & Warehousing

We have an experienced team managing the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) logistics and distribution value chain.

Our suppliers have the strategic benefit of working with us; we take care of all the inbound cargo requirements through shipping by sea, air, and land. As Dawda Group our importation capacity exceeds 120 containers every month, with goods that originate from all over the world.

The Pusha Online Ltd. 1500-square-foot warehousing facility in Kampala is equipped with modern racking systems and is insulated to manage temperatures during the summer.
